For women with student loans

If they are expecting a child, they can request a suspension of their repayment obligation for 3 years from the 12th week of pregnancy. During this period, thanks to the targeted interest subsidy, their student loan debt will not increase, as the central budget will take over the payment of the interest incurred.

From January 1, 2023, if a female borrower under the age of 30 has a child or adopts a child during her higher education studies or within two years of their successful completion (after obtaining the diploma), one hundred percent of the outstanding student loan debt is waived in the form of a non-refundable child support.

  • As a non-refundable state interest subsidy, half of the student loan debt is waived for mothers who meet the following criteria:
  • their second child is born or adopted after obtaining the loan;
  • their second child is born or adopted after January 1, 2018;
  • they request the support at the Student Loan Center.
  • In the event of birth or adoption of a third or additional child, the entire outstanding debt of the mother is waived.
